Pokémon GO: 24th Week

Welp! Another week already over!

It seems that my neighboring PokéStop has now Omanytes. Although I thought it would be Eevee as it showed 2 last Friday but it suddenly went to Omanytes on Sunday 😮
So I might go for Omanyte hunt after work for the next week as I did with Kabuto – I don’t expect to catch as much to evolve it but it will lower the kilometers I need to walk it.

Anyhow this week wasn’t worth much, haha.

Walking Dratini, catching monsters and spinning PokéStops to gather EXP.
I got my fourth 10km egg. I am collecting these until I get new Incubators from leveling up (I think at level 35 I will get new ones which will take a few weeks, erm, months to get there 😀 ).
Dratini also needs another 50 candies to be evolved to Dragonyte x_x 50×5 = 250 KM. Yoooooooo~ I hope I’ll see some wild ones sometime again so I can save up walking some meters*lol*

There was also a new patch released last night (Monday, 30th of January).
Apparently they fixed the problem with the app loading for ages (Android) and connectivity with Plus (also Android).
Yes, they did!
I’m so glad I don’t need ages to start up the app or another century to connect Plus to the app – hooray! hooray! hooray!

Pokémon GO: 23rd Week

Hello,
and another week gone~ I am late this week due to some things going on 😀

I was lazy last weekend therefore I didn’t do as much EXP as I could have done but I was playing FFXIV on my PS4 (new patch, you know everything needs to be done) so I didn’t pay much attention to Pokémon 😀

Nonetheless, I still walked around alot to get some more Dratini candy (and I caught one in front of my house this morning so that boost me up by 4 without walking) and fought the gym to get my bonus for putting a monster in.
I managed to get an even number of fights for attacking and defending around last Friday – meanwhile it’s on attacking 585 / 595 defending.

These pictures were taken 2 days ago, right now I’m at 69 candies and 413015 EXP.

There’s also a certain bug that annoys me very much, so much I contacted support about it.

It’s about the Pokémon GO Plus.
Since Patch of 17th of January, when they meant to improve the Apple watch and certain other things, Plus doesn’t connect as smooth as it did before. It needs about 2-4 tries to connect to the app. (So they fix something for Apple and fuck up their own system)
The problem exists IN the app – it does connect perfectly with the phone and was connected to the app but after I unpaired it it also needed several tries to connect to the app to be used again -_-
So I asked Support for help.
They got back to me asking me for my OS and version while also stating they would receive a shitload of support requests (no kidding, I can guess why) and then told me the following:

Hello Trainer,

Thank you for contacting Pokémon Support.

A new update came out today to solve the connection issue with the last update for the Pokémon GO app. The servers where recently down which would effect catching and seeing Pokémon and Pokéstops.

Please unpair (if possible) your Pokémon Go Plus from your smartphone and turn your phone off and back on again.

Uninstall and reinstall Pokémon Go app to 0.53.2 for Android. Now, reset the Pokémon Go Plus (press and hold button until blue, then release button, press and hold button again until it vibrates). Now pair Pokémon Go Plus with your smartphone again.

Pokémon GO Plus needs to be reset every time when pairing with a new device or when your smartphone operating system or Pokemon Go app has been updated/reset and after changing batteries.

If this does not help, please try the following:

Load Pokemon Go App –> turn off GPS in your phone settings —> connect your Go Plus in the Pokemon Go App—-> Turn on GPS back on , You Pokemon Go Plus should now be successfully paired.

Please reply to this ticket with anymore information if problem persists.

Thank you for being part of the Pokémon community!

Sincerely,

The Pokémon Company International Support Team

The new update they referred to was the one of Monday, 23rd of January. It is not mentioned on their official website and the shop says the app supports Korean language now. *shrug*
I did what the mail said. It didn’t do shit for the connectivity of the app with Plus.
So I mailed them again and they got back to me just ONE hour later – ohmygosh that’s some service – informing me of the following:

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Pokémon Support.

We apologize, but it appears that there is an ongoing issue pairing Pokémon Go Plus with Android phones since last update to Pokémon Go App. We have passed your brand and OS version on to the Pokémon development team to help them solve this issue.

Thank you,

The Pokémon Company International Support Team

So basically I need to live with trying to connect Plus at least 2 times after I started the app for now. It’s okay, just annoying. I hope they can fix it ASAP and that they don’t fuck things up every time they try to improve Apple’s tools.

Pokémon GO: 22nd Week

Weeeeeeeeeee~

I am back from Germany – it was fun, although I didn’t catch any new monsters but that wasn’t my priority this weekend anyways 🙂
So I didn’t had much progress but well~ Real Life fun is important~ more important!

I had a real bad Monday. I was feeling anxious for no reason and didn’t quite play alot due to that.
Tuesday I tried to get to work but due to an electricity outage in Amsterdam it wasn’t possible to go to work, so I went home to work from home and THANK GOD THIS HAPPENED because I caught a HITMONCHAN! ❤

Garuda is in the gym since Monday morning and I battle the gym to keep it up every morning and afternoon (if I got time for that while waiting for the bus)

Yesterday’s patch made some changes which i can not make out – except it takes a bit longer to open the app 😦

Photos were made yesterday: actually I am above 282K and Dratini got 55 Candy)

Pokémon GO: 21st Week

Another week is gone and the Christmas / New Year events are over :/

We are back to: no higher chance to encounter special Pikachu or first starter monsters or holiday packs in the shop buuuuuuuuuuut it would be boring to have these forever right 🙂

I got to level 32 and walk my Dratini (while catching a few ones and getting my Bronze achieve for catching 10 dragons – never understood why Charizard is a lizard anyway)

I nearly went mental this week *lol*
I caught a Charizard right in front of my door – with ONE normal ball *lol*
and a few days later was a Venusaur in the park behind my home but…. it took 40 balls and 10 berries to catch it (this actually killed my whole storage on normal, great, ultra balls and berries) while it had 259 CP…. rotten thing. I released it immediately after catching it with a new try after getting new balls. Raaaaaage!
In general I think the Bulbasaur + evolution are the worst ones of the first starters to catch. I always had trouble with them while Pikachu, Squirtles and Charmanders & Co ate less balls/berries… stupid green things.
I caught a Blastoise (already before the event) – evolved another one (which went to LEET after powering it up haha), caught a Charizard and evolved my Charmeleon, caught a Venusaur (Rage release) and evolved a Bulbasaur to one – I will probably keep these haha:

I got a Togepi from an egg – so I only need that Magthing of the 2nd gen while still missing out on a few of the first 150 Pokémon 😦 Chansey, Farfetch’d, Hitmonchan, Tauros, Kangashkan, Omastar, Kabutpos, the 3 legendaries, Mew and Mewtwo … kinda hate the hatch rates for the ones that can be caught on other continents -_-

I will be in Germany starting from tomorrow to Sunday – I am excited to see what I will be able to catch there 😀

Pokémon GO: 20th Week

Happy New Year!

My 20th week was quite satisfying harrrrr.
The day I posted the last blog I caught a Machop – meaning I could walk 4KM less on that arse \o/ and I managed to evolve that Machoke to Machamp, so I’m done, done, done! I’m walking Dratini now (again… I did walk it while Halloween event for one candy before deciding I would use the time for Magicarp to get Gyarados) 🙂
I bought a Great Pack from the shop (before they were exchanged for the bronze/silver/gold packs on Friday) so I could get 4 incubators to get rid of my 5km eggs…. and indeed it worked as I got some 10km eggs right after these were gone *lol* and I bought a Bronze Pack to get some lures.

I hatched a Cleffa on 29th of December and a Pichu on 30th of December and a Smoochum on 3rd of January- missing only the Maggy and Togepi in the list of the babies that were introduced in the beginning of December, 2016.

Funny story:  I was talking about Kabuto missing from my PokéDex and wanting it really badly with a friend when suddenly Kabuto’s shadow popped in “nearby”. I was like: “…. …………… okay, I’m going outside.” I just got home, my battery was on 15%, I had just changed my outside clothes for my home-clothes and it was really cold but … who cares. I went out with my jumpers, scarf, fingerless glothes, jacket and ballerinas (no socks), 8 floors down and in direction of the park. I lost the shadow, so I turned around and went into direction of the passenger tunnel where my PokéStop is, went into the tunnel, Kabuto plopped, i caught it, me happy and went back, caught some other stuff, waited for the 5minutes cooldown on the stop, back upstairs and posted the screen I took when catching Kabuto 😀 Hands were freezing cold, feet not. Weird.

That was on Friday, 30th. I found out that the neighboring PokéStop to mine in front of the building harbors some Kabutos since Friday after I caught mine… so I decided to go on a walk on 1st of January and activate a lure at that stop. Bam! Kabuto appeared. Caught it 🙂
There was also a young boy who was also hunting for monsters and saw me walking around the park area. He approached me and asked me really shy if I was the one activating the lure and which team I am – so cute ❤
I caught a 2nd Kabuto and the 3rd I saw yesterday ran away after 2 balls 😦 TOday I will try again 😀

The train station’s gym was finally taken on 30th of December, although I beat the crap out of Valor that morning yet again. But before that happened I had another gym beaten on 29th after work, so I got my first time reward for 2 Pokémon in a gym – hooray~
For some that might not be really special or something but it is for me as it’s really hard to keep monsters in gyms around here 😀
It was actually also 27th of December that I first saw that the PokéStop “Crystal Tower” was changed into a gym 😀 Hooray! It’s on my way from the station to work and vice versa and usually people that are visiting town and staying at the Meininger Hotel next to it are putting their monsters in (usually Valor or Mystic – didn’t see any Instinct yet) – so as I had some time  before going home, I pushed Mystic’s level 3 to 0 and claimed my 2 monster reward 😀

Meanwhile the train gym was taken over again so my Garuda is back in my bag 😀 (Sven survived about 1 minute at Crystal Tower *lol*)

Since the new event increased the appearance rates for the starter Pokémon I might be able to have Charizard and Venusaur soon 🙂 I will wait with evolving until the event is over I guess (as I already made that mistake twice to evolve rubbish Bulbasaurs and don’t want to waste other ones while I usually can’t catch these and need to walk the bugger).
Sunday was fun though. My first catch: Charmander CP10 😀
15878674_1266585253389101_1508235756_nI will have an exciting afternoon as I will need to go to the city centre and to the PokéStop with Kabuto today (and end up frozen at home after that tour) – I guess nothing new will appear but I always hope for some Dratinis as the whole city centre is surrounded by water canals. Although I never had luck up to now 😦
